Paper Squared started out as a much smaller business (Stampalot) in 1998.
Vicki Morrison opened the small store in Barkly Street, Mornington, which sold decorative rubber stamps, and all the accessories needed to make greeting cards. Vicki has five children and a background in Graphic design.

Having many requests from customers, Vicki started to design her own stamps and have them made, the range was called Victoria’s Secret Rubber Stamps and they were available exclusively through Stampalot.
Gradually she started to stock invitation papers, envelopes, etc, then some scrapbooking supplies. After five years the store became too small so Vicki moved to a much bigger shopfront in Main Street, Mornington. Vicki found that she needed staff in the Main Street store and Linda Turner was one of her first full time employees. Stampalot became more a scrapbooking store, with a stamp section.
Linda worked for Vicki at Stampalot for 6 months full-time then became a casual when she left to pursue an Events Management Course at William Angliss in Melbourne.
A casual conversation about needing more room at the store, more stock and a bigger classroom lead to a business relationship between Linda and Vicki and the start of the new much larger business that we see today, Paper². The girls understood that scrapbooking was becoming huge in Australia and customers wanted a "superstore" that met all of their scrapbooking needs and stocked all the products that they saw in the national magazines.
Three years in Main Street saw the store bursting at the seams so Linda and Vicki chose the old Betta Electrical store on Nepean Highway as the home for the new store. After borrowing some money and a lot of hard work, Paper² was opened on 28th December, 2005, with Vicki and Linda now business partners and co-owners. They now have a full-time staff of four with about 12 casuals and part-timers.
Paper Squared is the biggest scrapbooking store in Australia with a classroom that will seat over 40 in comfort. Classes are held regularly and crop nights are extremely popular on Tuesday and Saturday nights. Paper² has the most comprehensive range of scrapbooking papers, embellishments, stickers, albums and tools in Australia, with customers travelling from all over the country to visit this amazing store.
Card-makers will find everything they require in the store and those who need to make invitations will be stunned by the range of beautiful A4 papers, envelopes and seals.
Vicki and Linda have ideas for invitations, cards and scrapbooking layouts covering the walls so inspiration surrounds you when you visit this beautiful store.
Regards Vicki & Linda
